When do you need an auditor's report?
Many medium-sized and large organisations are subject to a statutory audit requirement. In addition, an auditor’s report can be requested on the basis of arrangements with a bank, an investor or within a group of businesses.
A statutory audit requirement arises as soon as an organisation meets at least two of the following three criteria for two consecutive financial years:
- A balance sheet total of more than € 7.5 million
- Net turnover of more than € 15 million
- An average of 50 or more employees
Even when an audit is not compulsory, an audit can be valuable. You not only gain certainty about the annual accounts, but also insight into risks, processes and possible points for improvement within your organisation.
What does an audit deliver for my organisation?
Besides certainty about the reliability of the financial reporting, an audit offers valuable insights into risks, processes and opportunities for improvement within the organisation. These come out of the conversations we have with the organisation, on the basis of our knowledge and expertise.
Do you have international clients or collaborations?
Absolutely. We have extensive experience with businesses operating both nationally and internationally. We guide organisations with foreign subsidiaries, international activities and complex group structures. We also have experience with group audits, cross-border reporting questions and coordinating audit work within international environments.
Whether it concerns international growth, foreign establishments, acquisitions or group audits: we help organisations keep an overview, stay compliant and remain in control in an increasingly international business environment.
How do you choose the right audit team?
A good audit begins with the right team. The size, complexity and dynamics of every organisation are different. That is why we do not believe in a standard approach, but put together an audit team for every client that matches the specific needs of the organisation.
We also consider a personal connection at least as important. That is why we work with fixed points of contact and a team that gets to know your organisation well. That way we combine continuity with the right technical expertise.
How do you use AI and data analysis during the audit, and what makes your audit approach different?
AI and data analysis are an important part of our audit approach. Through efficient data delivery and by analysing large volumes of financial and operational data digitally, we gain in-depth insight into the processes, transaction flows and risks within your organisation. That allows us to identify anomalies, trends and exceptional items more quickly and to carry out our audit work in a targeted way.
We make connections between financial data and operational data, which gives us a broader insight into the organisation and allows us to audit more efficiently. Instead of relying solely on traditional samples, we examine complete data sets. That increases the quality of the audit.
Our data-driven approach also produces valuable insights. It not only helps in obtaining audit assurance, but also brings to light opportunities for improvement in internal control, risk management and processes.
In this way we combine innovative technology with technical expertise to offer more certainty, more insight and more added value.
