Most frequently asked questions
Answers to the most frequently asked questions about pensions.
What do I still need to arrange for the new pensions legislation?
Is your pension scheme not yet future-proof? Then do not wait too long to act. This change process has to be handled carefully and it has to be coordinated with the employees and, where applicable, the works council (OR) or the employee representative body (PvT, personeelsvertegenwoordiging).
So start in good time on drawing up a step-by-step plan and set out a timeline that suits your company. Bear communication in mind as you do so: a well-informed employee feels more involved and more confident.
What can I arrange as an entrepreneur for my old age?
As an entrepreneur you are no longer allowed to build up a pension within your own business, but there are still plenty of alternatives, such as building up a pension with a bank or an insurer. We are happy to discuss with you what suits you best.
What do I need to know as a works council member about the new pensions legislation?
From 2028 all pension schemes have to comply with the Future Pensions Act (Wet toekomst pensioenen), and that has consequences for every pension scheme. The works council has the right of approval when a pension scheme is changed, which is why it is advisable to have yourself informed by an external expert. That way you become a fully-fledged discussion partner for the employer and you can make sound choices. We are happy to help with this.
